Since forming in 1985, Harvest Rain has grown to become one of the largest musical theatre companies in Australia, providing professional musical theatre productions that are engaging, accessible and entertaining.

  

Harvest Rain is well-known for producing high quality professional productions that are enjoyed by thousands of theatre goers each year. The company is also widely respected for being a hub of creativity and professional development where emerging professional artists can work and perform alongside some of the biggest stars in the country.

 

Over the years, Harvest Rain has presented work at a range of major venues including QPAC, the Brisbane Powerhouse, the Judith Wright Centre, the Malthouse and more, producing shows like SPAMALOT, BLOOD BROTHERS, THE WIZARD OF OZ, JOSEPH & THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, OKLAHOMA! GUYS & DOLLS and more. The company has also produced major arena productions, including a record breaking production of CATS which was the largest production of its kind ever staged in the southern hemisphere featuring over 800 performers at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.

 

Over the last three decades, many well-known artists have trodden the boards in a Harvest Rain show, including Simon Gallaher, Simon Burke, Marina Prior, Jon English, Julie Anthony, Andrew O'Keefe, Amanda Muggleton, Christine Anu, Michael Falzon, Rachael Beck, Frank Woodley, John Wood, Nancye Hayes, Rob Mills, Ian Stenlake, Val Lehman, Rhonda Burchmore, Steven Tandy, Eddie Perfect and Wayne Scott Kermond to name a few.

 

Harvest Rain has also become known as a place of great beginnings, with many nationally acclaimed artists having had their start working for the company, including Billy Bouchier, Georgina Hopson, Matthew Passmore, Angela Harding, Luke Kennedy, Francine Cain, Zahra Newman, Jack Chambers, Stephen Wheat, Mark Conaghan, Bryan Probets, Terri Brabon, Stefanie Jones, Mark Hill, Callum Mansfield, Josh McIntosh and many others.
